Magnificent gilded metal mantel clock with 30-day 1/2-hour strike mechanism (on bell) c. 1870.
Original oval wood base 19" x 9", with original glass dome 19" x 18". As made, no back plate, no front crystal (always domed, so not needed !)
Works perfectly ! Loses/ gains 5 seconds per month !
Arts & Crafts mantel clock
Darkly-stained mahogany, front with inlaid copper & pewter designs possibly by Harvey Ellis
(see Stickley / Craftsman furniture).
Month-going mechanism by New Haven, CT, 1/2 hour strike. "Durbar" model, on deeply
carved paw feet with claws, to front.
Width at top 17" (18" to highly carved paw feet).
lenzkirch bracket clock
Bracket clock, burl walnut veneer, cast bronze fittings, silvered dial, c. 1890-1.
Month-going mechanism stamped Lenzkirch serial # 916237, same # for pendulum bob.
1/4 hour strike on bell. Height 15". Works very well, and accurately !
